She found her first job through another employment agency, but in 2020, she switched to BM Personeel. “A friend of mine was already working for BM and told me good things about them. So I thought: let’s give it a try.” Since then, Inga has worked for different companies through BM, slowly building her life in the Netherlands.

A good start with BM Personeel

One thing Inga really appreciated was the support she received when she first arrived. “When you first arrive here, you don’t know anything yet. It really helps when you have both a job and a place to live. It makes things easier.”

Through BM, she worked at several companies. Last year she started working at Saucecompany. “At first, I had some doubts. Working in the food industry didn’t seem like a good fit for me. But the work turned out to be much more technical than I expected, and I found that really interesting and challenging.” Now, Inga enjoys her work and has even been offered a contract.

Living together and finding a home

A big step for Inga was moving in with her partner in housing provided by BM Personeel. “At first, I was living alone, but I really wanted to live together. BM arranged it for us, and I’m very grateful for that.”

Recently, Inga and her partner found their own apartment through a friend. “It might not be forever because my children still live in Latvia, and I don’t know what will happen in the future. But for now, it gives me stability. I can register officially and have a contract, and that feels good.”

Looking ahead

Inga is grateful for her time at BM Personeel. “What I always appreciated is that BM says: if you ever want to come back, you are welcome. That means a lot.”

Her advice to others who want to work in the Netherlands? “Don’t be afraid to try something new. Even if you think a job is not for you, just give it a chance. That’s how you gain experience. I have learned a lot, and it has made my CV stronger, even if I decide to go back to Latvia one day.”
